WHAT IS DEVIANT DISCOVERY?
Deviant Discovery is a weekly Journal Feature that focuses specifically on Deviants that have good art, but haven't gotten much attention for it. Every week, a new Deviant will be chosen, and a few of their artworks will be show in this Journal, along with a description of the artist themselves. This weekly feature will serve as an attempt to get under-appreciated artists more attention then they already have.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It will work in a similar way to Daily Deviations - either I could select a Deviant myself, or someone could be suggested by another Deviant. Once a Deviant is chosen, we'll find their best five Deviations to be featured in the Journal. Then, we'll give a short description of the artist's work, and a small explanation of why they were chosen. The feature will remain on the front of my page for seven days [168 hours; one week], so that the Deviant can get continuous attention. Suggestions could be s
Project Educate Continues! Project Educate Continues!!!
projecteducate is a group and all updates from individuals during their weeks listed below will be posted over there! So be sure to join or watch for the full updates! If you want to partake in Community Week by writing an article then just note the group with your ideas!
How it Works
projecteducate started with purely CV run weeks. Those were weeks focusing on a specific art form brought to you by your lovely Community Volunteers. As well as these epic seven days of awesome, we've now introduced two more themes which run on a bi-monthly basis. Those are Community Weeks, which include articles from members of the dA community - and Artist Toolbox Weeks which include a mixture of articles focusing purely on the 'tools' of the trade. If you're interested in either please note projecteducate!

Do you like the Art I like? What makes you like the art you like?
I think it's some of the same stuff that attracts you to people or not.
Here's a snapshot of some of the art I like.... is this a frequency that appeals to you? Did you view these and feel a trance coming on?
Or did you just glance over it...
Let's talk in the comments, I have some instructions at the bottom of this post.

Challenge 3: Book - Top 5Happy Holiday
I try to give out the result faster than usual since DA is having promotions for premium member subscription. That's why I try to give you the result sooner so you may use your points for it. Though it's not enough but I hope it can help some how .
With a lot of entries therefore it took me while to choose top 5. This time, so many good entries with great concepts. It's really hard for me to pick 5 only.
I don't pick the top 5 base on drawing skills only but also the concept of their entries. But there were more than 20 entries I want to pick as winners :C. But don't worry, we will have more challenges in future.
I am truly sorry for who don't make it, not because you are not good but because we only choose 5 here. As I usually said for challenge, it's not a contest, it likes a little 'push', a little motivation for you to draw (it's also a reason why the prize for top 5 is just little). If you don't make it this time but I believe you earn somet
SNIPPY: evidence"Blasted mug!"
I looked at it hatefully.
"This is all your fault!"
I attempted to throw the mug at the Arbitrator, to smash it, to let go of it.
Nothing of the sort was possible.
I flailed left and right. The mug did not budge. I could not let it go, no matter how hard I tried. It was as if it were glued to me with a strange static-like substance. It rolled between my fingers and from one hand to the other, but it was as if I were made of iron and the mug were a powerful rare-earth magnetic bearing coated with oil.
Why can't I let go of the mug?!
Did the Arbitrator's reconstruction of my organs have anything to do with this?
Upon giving up to prying the mug out of my hands, I turned to the Arbitrator and spoke.
I made my case calmly and clearly, pressuring various facts that my DNA couldn't possibly be on the mug and that I looked nothing like Captain and that it might as well scan my memories for evidence or something of that sort.
Gaining Exposure To ArtGaining Exposure For Your Own Art:
Being active on the site is probably the best and most effective way to get yourself and your art seen. Leaving thoughtful comments on others art will often result in them coming to your page to find out more about you and see your art. Being involved and making friends will promt people to focus on you and your art giving you a bit more exposure. Leaving critiques, helping to moderate groups, posting in the forums, or simply chatting it up in the chatrooms. These can all be beneficial in getting you more exposure. Below I'd like to outline some of the wonderful ways, I believe, you can gain extra exposure to your art.
Joining groups which are relevant to your interests and the art which you make can be very helpful in getting your art out there and seen by like minded individuals. The introduction of groups by dA has made it very e
I'm in. Who's with me?I did NOT make this, just passing it around. And i know few people will probably give a shit about it
but it's better than none... I'm poor, so this will be easy for me, i'll do it for the sake of the internet.
But i doubt it will pass anyway...
Since we're at it, i might as well just share this video too.
I've recently just watched it, and people been sharing this a lot.
SOPA, PIPA, and now there's ACTA?
I have an idea DA!!!I know you are looking for super useful things to add to DeviantArt! Please consider this! It would make life significantly easier for people with or without subs!
Somewhere on the top bar of the profile page, make an optional add on a Commission button!
If you choose to display this you can set it to either "Commissions Available" "Commissions Closed" or "Not taking commissions" for example.
If one of the former two, the button is a link to url of users choice, be it a journal entry or webpage, with their commission info.
Can you see how brilliant this would be? Visitors would know straight away if they had a shot at commissioning the artist rather than having to ask, and non-sub members can show this info without needing a custom box or having to copy and paste the same info in all their journal entries. C'mon DA, you know you love it! I don't need any credit!
As a side note, the button should be color coded! So if the button says "Commissions Available", it will be in say, a friendl
